ST NICOLAS LTD. James Monroe Ornament

The James Monroe ornament is one of the unique products of St. Nicolas, a British company which has worked with a small Christian charity in Thailand or India for 25 years helping disadvantaged rural women work in their own community by sewing decorations at home. Founding Father, Governor of Virginia, Secretary of State and 5th President of the United States, President Monroe is wearing a dark blue jacket with yellow trousers and vest. He carries a book, “Monroe Doctrine”, representing a policy which asserts that the New World is no longer subject to colonization by the European countries. The ornament is approximately 6 ¼” tall.
